Alta-Aurelia Middle School, along with the Alta-Aurelia School District strives for excellence in education. In my 7th Grade Reading-Language Arts classroom that expectation will shine through. I will expose students to authentic learning at every possible opportunity. They will be engulfed in 21st century skills. We will make school, community, national, and international connections to the content we are learning.

I believe that the age old question, "Why do I have to know this?" should be demonstrated for these students. These skills will allow them to be successful in my classroom, in future secondary classrooms, as well as their future in college and/or the workforce.
