Dear Parents,
Yesterday we had our first KHDA inspection (DSIB) visit. Feedback was very positive and constructive. This will help us significantly going forward in our journey to outstanding. Thank you to all the students for making such an effort yesterday in their learning!
Highlights this week include our first Friends of Al Salam Community School (FASC) coffee morning. It is an opportunity for any parent to given feedback to FASC who going forward will take the feedback to provide updates and suggestions to myself and my leadership team.
In the Primary School, Canteen Pre-ordered meals are now available from Years 4 - 6. In Secondary School, lockers have finally been handed over on the first floor for all students in Years 7 - 13.
Lastly, a great turnout for the FS, Year 2, 4 and 6 Parent-Teacher meeting last week. Thank you for your ongoing support.

In line with the UAE National Agenda Parameter, all students in Dubai are required to take specific benchmark tests prescribed by the KHDA. The UAE National Agenda continues to be one of the most important strategic initiatives introduced by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and ruler of Dubai to steer us to work collectively to improve the quality of education across the country. To attain this, yearly benchmark tests are administered intended to monitor student and school progress towards the Strategic Objectives outlined in the UAE 2021 Vision.
These tests are to be administered at school under formal exam conditions and will contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of Students’ potential and progress in key subjects.
