2/23/2024 - Micropipetting Instructions #MakingSenseOfData

• You are to work with your group to practice micropipetting.

  • Mr. W. will then go over the proper steps for Micropipetting to ensure class materials remain safe.

  • Your turn to do lab work:

    • Select ONE 8-bit option to create

    • Use the micropipette to create your 8-bit pattern on the evidence page. Group jobs are as follows:

      1. One person who uses the micropipette to create the pattern.

      2. One person who is reading the directions for where to place drops (make sure ALL of one color is done before switching tips.)

      3. One person who is responsible that the micropipette is used correctly.

      4. One person who is responsible for the following:

         • Hold the current color tube for micropipetting.

           • Let Mr. W. know if a color tube needs refilling.

         • That a new tip is used for each color and tips are disposed of properly.

    • Switch jobs and continue to do it again to create a new 8-bit pattern until everyone has done all the jobs.
