Fairy Tale Unit

Auditions will be held after school on Tuesday September 16th in the Auditorium. If you cannot come on Tuesday you can come audition during lunch/after school on Wednesday September 17th.
ALL TMS STUDENTS WELCOME TO AUDITION!
For the audition you will just need to show up and I will have you participate in some activities and/or read from the script.
Law & Order: Fairy Tale Unit is a parody play of the classic Law & Order TV series set in the world of fairy tales and nursery rhymes. In the story, the fairy tale police and district attorneys investigate and prosecute crimes committed by fairy tale characters.

Performances will be Nov. 13, 14 & 15
Rehearsals will be held after school on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (depending on part).
This is a great class where you will participate in activities and games that will help introduce you to the world of acting and performing. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! This is also a great class to help build your confidence!
Drama Foundations is the prerequisite class that all students must take before they can take Drama 2 (advanced drama) in either 8th or 9th grade.
Sign up for Stagecraft. This class will introduce you to all things technical theatre.
Stagecraft is the prerequisite class for Stage Crew so if you wish to be on Stage Crew in either 8th or 9th grade you MUST take Intro. to Tech Theatre in either 7th or 8th grade.
Sign up for Drama & Film Studies. In this class you will watch and study plays and films.
This is a great class where you will participate in activities and games that will help you to become a better presenter/performer. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! This class is different from Drama Foundations but will still help to build your confidence!
Come prepared with a 15-20 second monologue that is memorized.
Sign up for an audition time outside of Mr. Fortie's room.
If you cannot audition on that day please reach out to Mr. Fortie to make arrangements to audition at another time.
The Drama 2 class will be performing the school play so if you wish to be in the play you will need to be in Drama 2.
February 26 from 1:15-2:00pm
February 27th from 3:00-3:45pm (you only need to come to one day either the 26th or 27th)
Come prepared with 16 bars of a Broadway song
Bring an instrumental or Karaoke track of your song to sing along to
You may also bring an accompanist to play for you if that is a better option
Sign up for an audition time outside of Mr. Fortie's room
If you cannot audition on either of those days, please reach out to either Mr. Fortie or Mrs. Killpack to make arrangements to audition at a different time
Students who wish to take Stage Crew MUST have taken Stagecraft.
Sign up for Stage Crew with your counselor or let Mr. Fortie know that you are interested in taking it and he will get your name on the list. Once a complete list of students is made, Mr. Fortie will work with counselors to determine who is the best fit for the class. Spots are limited so we cannot take every applicant. Students who performed well in Stagecraft and who demonstrate great citizenship are admitted into Stage Crew.
