• Melting blocks (Amazon Link or show a video clip of this)

• 2 ice cubes (similar size and shape)

Per Group

• Hair dryers (1 per group of 3-4)

• Digital laser infrared thermometer (1 per group of 3-4)

• 5 different classroom objects for groups of 3-4, such as: 

  • 1 pair of scissors

  • Crayon

  • Marker

  • Pencil 

  • Pen

  • Stapler

  • Tape dispenser

  • Glue stick

  • Ruler

  • Whiteboard

• Notes for during the lab: 

• As you are gathering classroom objects, try to vary the objects that are given to each group. Some objects can be the same, but not all of the objects should be the same for each group. 

• Be prepared to add conduction to your class Word Catcher Wall.
