Students need laptops or tablets (at least one for each small group) with an internet connection so that they can access and explore the online simulation. Prior to class, make sure that the online simulation works on your computer and on student laptops or tablets. It is located here: https://openscied.org/gas-particle-motion/
You will also need chart paper and markers to record students’ ideas.
Be prepared to add “temperature” to the class Word Catcher Wall (temperature as a measure of the average kinetic energy of particles in a substance).
