There is no way that you are going to miss your bus! Besides, your friend has been to his locker dozens of times and you know that he can get there without your help. You tell him to be brave and go on his own. He whimpers a little, but he makes his way through the crowds of students and goes back into Vista.
Your bus hasn't arrived yet, so you start looking around and enjoy the Fall afternoon. Out of the corner of your eye you think that you see movement in the storm drain. You look a little closer and see two scary eyes! You move toward the drain to get a closer look, when suddenly the ground falls away and you slip down into the drain.
You keep slipping farther and farther into the sewer which seems to be angling down under Vista. Eventually, you find yourself in a dark hallway.
