OUR TEACHERS

INT. MATH 2 REQUIRED SUPPLIES

EACH STUDENT NEEDS TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING SUPPLIES FOR MATH CLASS EACH DAY:

  • Calculator: YOU NEED TO BUY A CALCULATOR FOR THIS MATH CLASS. Students MUST have their own calculator (not a phone) in order to be successful in this math class. We highly recommend the Texas Instruments TI-30XS Multiview Scientific Calculator – it’s great for fractions, radicals and statistics and can be used in 9th grade, as well. Graphing calculators are also welcome. In short, BUY this calculator! →

  • Binder: Either a 1 ½ inch binder just for math OR a designated section of a binder for all your classes. Keep all classwork and assignments for the year organized in your binder.

  • Pencil Pouch: A simple zip pouch for holding your personal pencils, erasers, scissors & glue stick.

  • Pencils: Students will need to provide their own pencils for class. Pencils are preferred for doing math – they have a great erase feature.

  • Ruler: Students will need their own ruler for our linearity and graphing units.

  • Scissors: Students will need a small pair of scissors – used for cut and sort activities.

  • Glue Stick: Students will need one glue stick – used for cut and sort activities.

8TH GRADE MATH REFERENCE BOOKLET - This quick reference booklet, made by PG Jr. High teachers, contains all of the essential topics we will cover this year. It has explanations and step-by-step examples.

Other HELPFUL SITES

DESMOS - This is a great graphing program that has a ton of features. We suggest you explore it and get to know it.

GeoGebra - This site has many helpful tools that will help you visualize graphing, geometry, and constructions.
