Being a teacher is an amazing and exciting job. I love teaching! I have been teaching for 30 years at different levels including adult ed, high school, junior high and at-home tutoring. I even taught piano lessons for a period of time. I received my education from Brigham Young University majoring in Business Teaching with an emphasis in Information Management. I earned my master's degree in Learning and Technology from WGU.
Most of my teaching has focused on helping students learn how to use computers productively. I have also worked with at-risk students, students recovering from in-patient treatment, and honor students. I recently left a 21-year teaching job to join Timberline Middle School. I'm looking forward to a great experience.
My husband just retired from teaching junior high school which always made our evening conversations very interesting. I am the mother of 3 children and grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren. I love spending time with my family.
In my free time I enjoy reading, playing the piano, hiking, camping and doing service. I recently took up soap making but had to take a break when I realized it takes a lot less time to make soap than it does to use all that soap. My favorite food is Mexican, but I'll pretty much eat anything. My favorite color changes frequently, but my favorite treat is always chocolate-covered cinnamon bears. A favorite family pastime is playing board games.
