Archery - Thank you for a great season! See you next year!
Cross country is a running sport that takes place on natural terrain such as grass, dirt, and trails. It involves running 2 mile races and practices where we run between 2-5 miles, while navigating hills, curves, and various other obstacles.
Participating in cross country can help develop a range of skills such as endurance, stamina, and speed. It also requires mental toughness, discipline, and focus to push through physical challenges and maintain a consistent pace throughout the race. Cross country runners also develop teamwork skills as they train and compete with their teammates, often relying on each other for support and motivation.
Track and Field is a dynamic sport that combines running, jumping, and throwing events. Participants compete in races such as the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1600m, with 9th graders also eligible for the 3200m. Field events include the high jump, long jump, and shot put.
Joining Track and Field helps develop agility, strength, and endurance while also building mental discipline, especially when competing in unpredictable spring weather. Our team promotes a supportive environment, emphasizing encouragement, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Athletes learn the value of respect and integrity when competing against others, making Track and Field both a physically and mentally rewarding experience.
