Hello! Welcome to my class. I'm excited to get to know you this year. To help you get to know me, here is a list of my favorites:

Teaching middle schoolers, my husband Cameron, hiking trails, Paris, airplanes, BYU, popcorn, french fries, German chocolate, golden doodle puppies (especially my dog Charlie), reading historical fiction, tacos, museums, my 5 sisters, Hawaii, Harry Potter books, University of Kentucky Basketball, beach vacations, London, Hamilton the Musical, gelato, crepes, Washington D.C., talking with friends, Nutella, Italy, Pinterest, and decorating my classroom.

Read a Book: Read a book that is set in American History from the first settlements of Roanoke, Jamestown and Plymouth through the Civil War. You can't use a book that you are reading for class. Write a half page about what you learned about American History from reading the book.

Include: Title of Book and Author.

Go on Vacation: Bring back a photograph to go on the wall. Try to learn something new that you didn't know before!!

History/Discovery Channel: Check with Mrs. Freeman about the program you would like to get extra credit for watching. As long as the program is U.S. History based there should not be a problem. Write a half page about what you learned from watching the program.
