Haunty Haunty Bellafonte

Is a happy ghost

He likes to hunt for places where

His skills are needed most

He doesn't hide beneath the stairs

Or lurk in attic closets

No, he likes sunny garden spots

Where bees hum by the faucets

But Haunty isn't satisfied

With lounging in the sun...

He roams the land both high and low

'till he has helped someone.

Yes, once he picked a golden flow'r

and stuck it in a jar

He put it on the table

While he strummed his ghost guitar

The folks who passed the table noticed

Something not the same

The ghostly beauty cheered them up,

Not knowing Haunty came

He loves to help at crosswalks too,

he helps both young and old

Once he kept a big sedan

from smashing a small toad!

Sometimes Haunty sits a while with folks who feel alone

He never wants to see them sad or lonely or forlorn

He tells them little jokes until they giggle and they smile

He doesn't give up easily- he walks the second mile!

Yes Haunty makes his jaunty rounds across the oceans blue

There isn't anywhere to go that Haunty won't go too!

So if you feel a little joy

That wasn't there before...

It might be Haunty Bellafonte
