Rocky Mountain was in the Lindon Days Parade!

We were so excited to have Rocky Mountain participate in the Lindon Days Parade last Friday! We saw so many Rocky Mountain students there, and it was so much fun to see you, get your waves and smiles, and even share some candy with you. And thanks for singing along to our school song!

Save the Date: Back to School Night

The Rocky Mountain Elementary Back-to-School Night will take place on Monday, August 17, 4:00-6:00pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to become acquainted with the school before the first day of classes.

We’ll begin the evening together in the gymnasium with a welcome gathering where we’ll introduce our teachers, hear a message from our PTA president, and hear a few words from Principal Eagar about the year ahead. We’ll also share ways families can get involved through volunteer and service opportunities.

Following the welcome, families are invited to explore the school, visit classrooms, meet teachers, and take part in a fun schoolwide scavenger hunt as they get ready for an exciting new school year.

We hope your entire family can join us!

First Day of School

The first day of school for students in grades 1-6 is Wednesday, August 19. Kindergarten students begin school on Tuesday, August 25.

We are excited to welcome our Cougars back for another great year!

New School Phone Number

Please take note that our new school phone number is now active! The new Rocky Mountain Elementary phone number is: 385-579-5375

Please update your records with this new number. This will be the phone number we use moving forward as we transition into our future operations as part of the Timpanogos School District.

Our Newly Revised School Handbook

The beginning of a new school year is a great time for families to become familiar (or re-familiar) with school procedures, expectations, and policies. We invite you to review our Rocky Mountain Elementary School Handbook before school begins. The handbook is online and can be found at bit.ly/rmehandbook

Skyward Q Is Now Live

Alpine School District has officially launched Skyward Qmlative (or Q), its new student information system. This updated platform provides an improved experience for students, parents, and guardians with easier access to information and a more streamlined way to manage student records.

There are two important items all families should complete before school begins:

Annual Student Information Update: Beginning today, parents and guardians can log in to Skyward Q and complete the Annual Student Information Update for their child(ren). Completing this process reactivates your student's account and provides an opportunity to verify emergency contact information.
Acceptable Use Policy: As part of the update, parents or guardians must also review and approve the district's Acceptable Use Policy. Student accounts, including Chromebook access, will remain inactive until this process has been completed.

New Student Registration

Families who are new to the area may now complete online student registration using the new Skyward Q system. The Online Registration page is available at: https://www.alpineschools.org/page/registration-enrollment

Tutorials

If you need help navigating the new Skyward Qmlativ system, you can access a variety of tutorials and helpful resources at https://www.alpineschools.org/page/skyward-upgrade

Skyward Mobile App

If you currently use the Skyward mobile app, please uninstall and reinstall the app on or after July 27. Reinstalling the app will connect it to the new Skyward Q system.

INFORMATION & UPDATES

Welcome to Our New Faculty Members

We are excited to welcome two outstanding educators to the Rocky Mountain faculty this school year! Augusto Silva will serve as our regular education sixth grade teacher, and Lindsay Roper will serve as our new visual art teacher. Here are some brief bio statements they’ve provided so you can get to know them a bit before school starts:

Mr. Silva, 6th Grade (Regular Education Teacher)

My name is Augusto Silva. I was born and raised in Utah, but I come from a Brazilian household. I love being a teacher, sports, and playing my guitar!

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from WGU. I am currently studying at Utah Valley University (UVU) to earn a master’s degree in Educational Leadership as I continue preparing for a future where I can help young people grow.

I have been married for six years, and my wife and I have a daughter who brings so much joy to our lives.

I believe schools are incredible places where young people can grow, learn, and discover their potential. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to play a role in that journey and am passionate about creating positive learning experiences that help every student succeed.

Mrs. Roper, Visual Art Teacher (K-6)

Hi, I’m Mrs. Roper! I love art & I love teaching. I live in Orem with my husband, 3 kids, and our puppy we got this summer.

When I’m not with my family, I enjoy being with friends (and making new ones), eating dessert, and doing my own art for fun. I’ve never met a project I didn’t like!

I’m so excited to join the Rocky Mountain family, get to know all of you, and create with you!

Our office will resume regular office hours of 7:30am-4:00pm beginning Monday, August 3, 2026.

Add Lunch Money to Your Child's Meal Account

To ensure your child has funds in their meal account at the start of the school year, be sure to log into your student’s nutrition account and add any needed funds. Please note that we cannot accept meal payments in the office.

We're continuing to register incoming kindergarten students for the 2026-2027 school year. For all the details on registration, program choices, and important deadlines, click here.

Celebrating 30 Years at Rocky Mountain Elementary

This year, we will celebrate Rocky Mountain’s 30th anniversary! We are grateful for the many students, families, faculty, and staff who have helped make our school the special community it is today.

As part of this milestone year, we will host a 30th Anniversary Gala later this school year. More details will be shared in the months ahead, but we invite you to look forward to this opportunity of celebrating together. Our students will be the highlight of the evening as we showcase their talents and the Cougar spirit that makes Rocky Mountain Elementary so special.
