We are committed to learning, growing, and being the best we can be.

´╗┐Hello Sixth Graders! Welcome to sixth grade where we will be working together to discover and accomplish great things. Sixth grade will be both challenging and fun. It is designed not only to prepare you for seventh grade, but also to prepare you for life. It is our goal to provide you with tools that will empower you to be an independent, life-long learner, making it possible for you to be successful at anything you choose to do! The most important thing we ask of you, is to bring the spirit of discovery to class each day - come excited and prepared to respectfully participate and learn. Together, we will make this a fantastic year!

Ms. Donahue: I graduated from the University of South Florida and taught a variety of grades, 6th being my favorite, there for 25 years. Last year, I moved to Utah, with my two daughters, from the Tampa, Florida area. I have a 20 year old, who is serving a mission in Colorado Springs, and an 18 year old, who is heading to Utah State this August. After moving here, I taught 6th grade at River Rock, but missed the middle school setting which is why I decided to transfer to Barratt. I am excited to be able to focus on teaching the science curriculum to your children.

Mr. Taylor: I was born and raised in Montana. I obtained my Elementary Education degree from the University of Montana in 2002. I have taught in Nome Alaska, and enjoyed learning of the Inupiaq eskimo culture. From there I moved back to MT and taught there. My wife, boys and I moved to Utah four years ago! I am lucky to be teaching your student Math this year.

Mrs. Watkins: I was born and raised in Utah and graduated from Layton High. After graduation I married my high school sweetheart and spent the next 18 years moving around the world courtesy of the Marine Corps. I finally settled back in Utah County and began teaching at Barratt. Throughout the years I have worked with kids in many different capacities and ages. I was so excited when I achieved my dream of completing my Elementary Education degree. Reading is my favorite past time and it makes me so happy when I can share that love with others.
