We are committed to learning, growing, and being the best we can be.
Hello Sixth Graders! Welcome to sixth grade where we will be working together to discover and accomplish great things. Sixth grade will be both challenging and fun. It is designed not only to prepare you for seventh grade, but also to prepare you for life. It is our goal to provide you with tools that will empower you to be an independent, life-long learner, making it possible for you to be successful at anything you choose to do! The most important thing we ask of you, is to bring the spirit of discovery to class each day - come excited and prepared to respectfully participate and learn. Together, we will make this a fantastic year!
Miss Manderino: I was born and raised near Chicago, Illinois. When I moved to Utah to attend BYU, I fell in love with the mountains and the outdoors. After getting my degree in Elementary Education, I moved down to St. George to teach 3rd and 4th grade. I decided to come back up to Utah County to be near family and I love this area! I have always had a passion for science and I am so excited to be teaching this subject. I am always looking for adventure and enjoy hiking, camping, and obstacle racing.
Mrs. Creager: I was raised in Burley, Idaho. Even though I have lived in Utah longer than I have lived in Idaho, I will always consider myself an "Idaho girl." I met my husband on a blind date, and it was love at first sight. We will be celebrating 30 years of marriage this year. We raised our family in beautiful Morgan, Utah where I taught 6th grade for 10 years. I previously taught 3rd grade in Davis County. In my spare time, I love to hike with my husband, travel to new places, and play with my awesome granddaughters. I am especially excited to teach mathematics because I know first hand on how it feels to "not understand" math. I love being a teacher and look forward to getting to know the wonderful sixth grade students at Barratt Elementary!
Mrs. Watkins: I was born and raised in Utah and graduated from Layton High. After graduation I married my high school sweetheart and spent the next 18 years moving around the world courtesy of the Marine Corps. I finally settled back in Utah County and began teaching at Barratt. Throughout the years I have worked with kids in many different capacities and ages. I was so excited when I achieved my dream of completing my Elementary Education degree. Reading is my favorite past time and it makes me so happy when I can share that love with others.
