Hello Sixth Graders! Welcome to sixth grade where we will be working together to discover and accomplish great things. Sixth grade will be both challenging and fun. It is designed not only to prepare you for seventh grade, but also to prepare you for life. It is our goal to provide you with tools that will empower you to be an independent, life-long learner, making it possible for you to be successful at anything you choose to do! The most important thing we ask of you, is to bring the spirit of discovery to class each day - come excited and prepared to respectfully participate and learn. Together, we will make this a fantastic year!

Mrs. Garbe:   I was born in California and raised in Orem where I graduated from Orem High School.  I was married a few years later to my high school sweetheart.  We have four adult children, 3 that are married and 1 grandchild.  I went back to school when my children were older, graduating from U.V.U. in 2013 in Elementary Education and earning my Masters in Education and Learning and Technology from Western Governors in 2016.  I live in American Fork  and love traveling,  reading , riding my bike, and hanging out with my family.  I am a B.Y.U. football fan and love watching the games!  I am very excited to be teaching science this year!

Mrs. Watkins: I was born and raised in Utah and graduated from Layton High.  After graduation I married my high school sweetheart and spent the next 18 years moving around the world courtesy of the Marine Corps.  I have been teaching 6th grade at Barratt Elementary for 7 years and am very excited to begin year 8!  When I am not working on my classroom I enjoy being a mom and running my kids around to activities, reading/listening to books, and hanging out with my friends and family.

Mrs. Fehlberg: I've had the privilege of calling Utah my home for most of my life.  I was born and raised on a small farm in Springlake, and now live in Provo with my husband and 3 kids. This will be my first year teaching at Barratt Elementary and I count myself lucky to be joining such a vibrant and nurturing learning community.  Outside of the classroom, I love to shop, read, bike, hike, bake,  go to movies, and spend time with my family and friends.
