The A.L.L. program begins in 7th grade at all junior highs. Students move up in the program each year. While we often have openings, there tend to be very few openings in 8th grade classrooms. While we understand people would like to know how many openings exist prior to registering, this is not information that we have available as openings often don't come until students move over the summer.
Every junior high and middle school offers some Advanced Learning Lab (A.L.L.) classes. Every school offers A.L.L. English and history in a cohort, where students are required to take BOTH classes. Many offer an A.L.L. science class as well. Students are required to take the entire placement test.
Every junior high also offers accelerated math classes, but math is NOT COVERED by the A.L.L. placement test for current 7th graders. For 7th graders, your student should discuss math placement with a counselor or math teacher at the school.
Initial placement into these classes has filled. Students may be testing for a place on the waiting list.
Testing Sessions: When sessions are full, they will be removed as options on the registration form.
