I’m Chuck, owner of Glenn Hwy Towing. We are a tow company with our storage yard located on Old Glenn Hwy, outside Palmer. We are a company committed to being friendly, honest, and helpful to our customers. We are also unique as we use late-model towing equipment designed to be gentle on your auto, low-style rollback. We will use the latest tire strapping techniques instead of chains for your tow, avoiding dings and scratches. Our mission is to be helpful and friendly during a usually stressful time. Trust our professionals at Glenn Hwy Towing to get you and your vehicle to where you need to go in the case of a breakdown or roadside emergency needs. Where do you tow in Alaska?
The main areas of service are Palmer and Wasilla, with a secondary focus on anywhere from Sutton to Willow. We also focus on Anchorage and Eagle River commuters to assist there.
Where are you located?
Glenn Hwy Towing is based in Wasilla and Palmer, but we service the entire Glenn Highway from Anchorage, Alaska to Big Lake.
What are your accepted payment methods?
We accept cash, check, Discover, Visa, American Express, and Mastercard.
Do I have to be with the vehicle for it to be towed?
Not necessarily. If you’d like to ride with the vehicle to the shop, then yes. But as long as we have the keys and any other information we may need, you can let the driver bring the car to the shop and have someone pick you up and take you home or to some other location where you can handle any further business by phone.
Is towing harmful to my vehicle?
No, your vehicle is perfectly safe turning the tow. While every car and truck is different, our professionals know how to ensure that a vehicle rides on its own suspension to the repair shop. When major repairs are necessary, a vehicle can’t simply stay where it is, and we’d be out of business if we damaged vehicles during transport. We take great care of customers’ vehicles.
What if my vehicle has been lowered?
In nearly all cases, even lowered cars and trucks can be towed safely.
Do tow truck drivers have special training?
Yes. Our drivers begin by receiving a week of intensive specialized training, then they are teamed with an experienced driver on the job until able to perform every aspect of the job with competence.
How will I know if my battery needs to be jumpstarted or completely replaced?
This situation differs from car to car, from battery to battery. There are many variables involved, including the age of the battery and the amount it has been used by the owner. Our professional towing contractors will be able to diagnose the exact problem and prescribe the correct solution to such a difficulty. When you call up our towing experts, you'll be in touch with the kind of reliable servicemen who can resolve both problems with just as much ease. So don't worry if you can't determine the exact problem: our experts can.
With so many makes and models, how do you remember each vehicle's towing procedure?
Every manufacturer establishes towing guidelines; several companies compile these guidelines into an annual publication that is standard equipment for today's tow truck driver.
