I am Associate Professor of Philosophy at the Department of History and Philosophy at Allegheny College where I've worked since 2017. Before that I worked as philosophy faculty at Bogazici University, Istanbul and University of Missouri-St.Louis. I hold a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Syracuse University.
I specialize in identity through time, Neo-Aristotelian ontology and social ontology, and philosophy of gender and race. I have research and teaching interests in philosophy of agency, especially related to substance use disorders. I teach courses in philosophy of mind, epistemology, ethics, and social philosophy.
