At R2/C2 Lab, the goal is to reimagine the metaverse. Instead of constructing a universal metaverse as an immersive 3D world, the goal is to facilitate the sharing of the physical world and virtual content so that people from around the world can still enjoy a similar experience. R2/C2 Lab also aims to promote an accessible reality where everyone can use common devices like cellphones and projectors to continue accessing the metaverse.

R2/C2 also aims to develop new data science and mathematical methods for robust analysis of metaverse data.
