Abdulrauf Gidado Asst. Professor, Computer Science, Algoma University
Dr. Abdulrauf Aremu Gidado brings over a decade of industry and academic experience. He was a senior software and big data engineer before transitioning to academia. He earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Windsor and was a teaching-intensive tenure-track assistant professor of Computer Science at the University of Windsor before joining Algoma University. Dr. Gidado’s research focuses on Database and Big Data Analytics for Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering with a focus on physical models of databases and information retrieval systems, Big Data analytics, Machine Learning and Software Engineering solutions to address contemporary real-world challenges. Dr. Gidado’s research, teaching, and industry experience span Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and Canada. He had worked as a Senior Software Engineer, Big Data Research Fellow, and as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science. His scholarly contributions include several publications and service to the academic community as a reviewer for esteemed ACM and IEEE journals and conferences. Dr. Gidado has been awarded several prestigious and competitive research grants.
