Bullying:
Bullying is “a variety of negative acts carried out repeatedly over time. It involves a real or perceived imbalance of power, with a more powerful child or group attacking those who are less powerful” (ACSD Policy 7380).

Bullying can take three forms:
Physical (including, but not limited to, hitting, kicking, spitting, pushing, taking personal belongings);
Verbal (including, but not limited to, taunting, malicious teasing, name calling, making threats); and
Psychological (including, but not limited to, spreading rumors; manipulations social relationships; or engaging in social exclusion, extortion, or intimidation (ACSD Policy 7380).
Bullying may occur on or off school grounds;
May involve student use of the District Internet system or student use of personal digital devices while at school (cell phones, digital cameras, personal computers) (ACSD Policy 7380).
School districts can discipline a student for off-campus conduct that “adversely affects the educative process or endangers the health, safety, and morals of students.”
