1st phase of the Local Labs in Lousada

On 11 and 18 November 2023, 21 young people from Lousade participated in a ‘Local Lab’ in the Lousade Municipal Library. The Municipality was represented as well by Councillor Maria do Céu Rocha and was attended by Parish Council members, Sofia Santalha and Carlos Moura.

During these days, the young people discussed the SDG’s and enjoyed workshops brainstorming ideas with regards to the fulfillment of the SDGs in the municipality of Lousade. These ideas were transformed into project plans and presented to the members of the municipality. 

The Local Lab pointed out that the SDG theme was new to the majority of participants and the occasional use of English proved to be a difficulty for a small number of participants. A suggestion box was used during the activities to improve the Local Labs, however not many improvement suggestions were contributed.  Nevertheless, the participants got a lot of new knowledge engaging them in sustainable development and got input on the created projects that are ready to be implemented.
