An inquiry learning project is centred around questions, challenges and problems. Students are guided by their teacher to seek the truth, while acquiring knowledge and understanding. Students explore their project from multiple angles or interdisciplinary subjects to gain a wider perspective and deeper understanding. Inquiry learning sees students involved in engagement, investigation and analysis that relates specifically to their project.
In Year 9, students will study two subjects that allow them to complete their Da Vinci Project:
Environmental Inquiry
Creative Endeavour
In the DaVinci Project students will complete the following assessment tasks:
Panel Exam
Creative Response
As part of our curriculum and assessment, we invite parents to attend DaVinci Panels in term 2 and our DaVinci Exhibitions in both semesters to share in your child’s achievements. Each student will receive a report each semester and we offer four parent teacher interviews, one per term, to provide you with regular ongoing feedback on your child’s progress.
