Meet the Superintendent
Dr. Erin Oligschlaeger became superintendent in July 2015. Before serving as superintendent, Dr. Oligschlaeger was director of student services, with duties that included supervision of the alternative school programs, early childhood programs, Missouri Preschool Program grants, early childhood special education programs, special education programs, 504 programs, federal programs (Title I.A., Title I.C., Title II.A., Title III, and Title IV), homebound education programs, school nursing programs, school counseling programs, district food service programs, gifted education programs, Parents as Teacher programs, and social work and homeless education programs for the Excelsior Springs School District 40 and Marshall Public Schools. She is beginning her third year as superintendent, previously serving as director of student services, principal, and assistant principal over the last 11 years. Before entering school administration, Dr. Oligschlaeger was a special education teacher in the Park Hill School District in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Oligschlaeger earned her B.S. in Special Education and certification in Elementary Education from Avila University, M.A. and Ed.S in Educational Administration for the University of Missouri- Kansas City, and Ed. D in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri- Columbia.
Dr. Oligschlaeger and her family are proud Albany Warriors. Her husband, Kevin, teaches Science at Albany Middle/High School and together they have three children who attend Albany R-III Schools.
