Welcome! The Tomco Research Group at UAA conducts a variety of applied and theoretical research relating to environmental organic chemistry. Projects generally fall under one of the following categories:
- Pesticide transformation, fate, and toxicology
- Petrochemical distribution and bioremediation
- Stable isotope biogeochemistry
Research activities are centered at the UAA main campus ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Building, ASET Laboratory, UAA Stable Isotope Lab, and Matanuska Experimental Farm.
Students are engaged with interdisciplinary studies with collaborators in biological sciences, engineering, and a variety of state/federal agencies.
