Dear AHS Tiger Parents & Guardians,

Thank you again for your patience and understanding as we get our online courses started.

There has been some confusion over the online "bell" schedule, as it differs from the schedule shown in PowerSchool. Please have your students follow the schedule below for live meetings with each of their teachers.

If your student, for whatever reason (work, other schedule conflicts, etc.) is unable to follow the schedule and needs flexibility to complete their coursework on a more self-paced schedule (evenings, weekends, or other times), please contact the teacher to complete coursework and check in with the teacher by an agreed-upon weekly deadline instead of the daily/hourly schedule. Our teachers are building their online classes to have all lessons and assignments available whether students meet live with the teacher according to this schedule or log in at other times outside the schedule.

Also, there are still questions regarding "Onward Academy" and "Hybrid". For AHS only, these distinctions are essentially irrelevant. ALL AHS students, regardless of the "academy" selection, have the same options: when the governor approves us to open on a limited basis or open fully, you may choose to have your student attend classes physically or remain 100% online. Either way, ALL AHS students will have the same classes and teachers throughout the school year. Again, this applies only to AHS. Please contact Deputy Superintendent Malone or the appropriate middle school principal with questions regarding middle school Onward/Hybrid procedures.
