The primary role of the Ako Hiko lead teacher is to lead strong pedagogical practice amongst teachers.

• Support the kaupapa and goals of the Ako Hiko and Manaiakalani Outreach programme in your school. 

• Lead by example within the school with all stages of the 'Learn Create Share' pedagogy and Cybersmart curriculum, being evident in the leader's practices, both in and out of class and online.

• Ensure that learning is visible within the school.

• Plan for the integration of the cybersmart curriculum in the school.
