Fall Outreach 2017 - Hey Challengers AND Adventurers! Test your Skills. Personalize your Challenge! 15 items, 24 hours in the woods on your own.

** Registration now Closed. This event has taken place.

Location: Rafter 5E Ranch. 4448 TWP 500, Alsike, Alberta (53.2800020, -114.5512010). (Approx 3.5 hours north from Calgary, 1.5 hr west from Edmonton)

This experience is open to Challengers and Adventurers only. Space is limited to 12 participants. Cost is only $25/participant.

The Plan

Friday: Arrival 7:00 pm Gear check, discuss shelters, survival and the psychology of being alone in the woods

Saturday: After breakfast we will take you to your camp spot. The ranch has areas of thick shrub and deciduous forest and lots of hills and coulees so we will be able to place you in locations out of site from each other. The day is then yours to build your shelter, enjoy some alone time, cook a meal or two, maybe even sleep!

Sunday: 11am Lunch and debrief. We will come get you for Sunday lunch and have a chance together to debrief the experience. Completing a solo is not as important as what you learn from the experience.

NOTE: Saturday breakfast and Sunday lunch will be provided by the Outreach Committee. Participants will bring their own food for the 24 hours of the solo.

Cougars and wolves do come into this area, so we will have some safety measures in place that must be followed. Some of your items will be mandatory a detailed list will follow once you register.

Adult support will be there as safety backups, and you will have a radio to tap out if you need.

**Detailed packing list and directions will be sent once your participation is confirmed.
