Outreach

"Who wouldn’t be a mountaineer! Up here all the world’s prizes seem nothing.” - John Muir

Outreach is a long running annual event for Wardens from 12 to 18 years old, and adults as well. Normally held on the fringe of the mountain parks, Outreach schedules “high end” programming such as: ice climbing, back country ski touring, mountain geology, and dog sledding. It is facilitated by JFW volunteers, but utilizes professional and licensed instruction for the various disciplines.

Outreach is able to provide an opportunity to “re-establish personal limits” in the safe envelope of competent instruction. By using group planning and instructors, AJFWA can offer these events at a price that anyone could afford, which may allow people to experience things that they would not otherwise be able to.

Do you love an adventure? If so, these events are for you!
