Welcome to the Sangamon and Menard School Library Network. We are a community of library professionals in Central Illinois. We are a chapter member of AISLE that meets mainly in the Springfield area. Our goal is to provide professional development and social interaction between local librarians.

Monthly meetings are held in a variety of locations throughout the school year. Besides monthly meetings, we have a holiday get together and end of the school year social. Over the summer, we plan an all-day getaway to area attractions. Last summer, we visited the newly renovated Governor’s Mansion in downtown Springfield and spent the afternoon walking around.

Membership is open to anyone in our area. We welcome both public and private school librarians, elementary, middle, and high school, public service librarians and retired librarians.
