Where do I feel something in my body, tightness, heaviness, restlessness?
Did anything happen today that might have affected me, even slightly?
Am I tired, stressed, bored, or overstimulated?
If I had to guess what I’m feeling, what would I say?
Do I feel more physical sensations or emotional thoughts right now?
Am I avoiding a feeling because it feels uncomfortable?
What would make me feel even 1% clearer?
If I could name three possible emotions I might be feeling, what would they be?
When you can’t name your emotion, your brain may be experiencing mixed signals or emotional overload. The connection between your amygdala and prefrontal cortex is still developing during adolescence. Identifying even a small part of what you feel strengthens that connection.
