When a new gang threatens the residents of the Pan Yu District of Southern China's largest city, Guangzhou, they turn to a new and mysterious vigilante - The American. He may not like it, but he's all that stands in the way of the rising tide of crime in his neighborhood. But he'll stand up and do what's right... if he's not too drunk.
The American knows only one form of justice - swift and bloody - and he dishes it out to anyone who has it coming. Armed only with his wit, a bottle of baiju, and fashionable trench coat, The American has the bizarre ability to summon any weapon that comes to mind. All he has to do is reach behind him, think of what he wants, and it appears in his hand, locked and loaded.
Tales from the Streets of Guangzhou is written by Michael Kelley with artwork by Allen Warner. Cover art is by Jarret Katz with additional artwork by Rain Art Studio.

THE PERKS
Backers of our Indiegogo project are eligible to receive special perks that we've put together just for this campaign. Digital and print perk packages are available for pledges of $15 and $20, respectively. These include a copy of Tales Volume 1, wallpaper packs, chibi character stickers*, art prints, and cosplay photos of model Cathy Xu as her original AIC Comics character, Shexie Meiren.
In addition to the standard packages, backers can also become characters in the book. By pledging $200, we will use your likeness for the character design of a major antagonist who will appear in Tales Volume 1 and throughout the sequel (due out in 2020). This particular perk is limited to five and is offered on a first come, first serve basis.
For fans of comic art, AIC Comics is also offering three exclusive custom cover packages. Backers can have a unique cover on their copies of Tales, drawn by professional comic artist Netho Diaz (Justice League, GI Joe), Diego Bernard (X-Men: Gold, Lady Death), or Staz Johnson (Spider-Man, Batman, Judge Dredd).
*Chibi stickers are available only in the print perk package. Backers receiving the digital perk package will get a special image file that contains the chibi characters.

Classic Video Game
We're developing an 8-bit game that will be playable on PC and Mac, but also on an actual Nintendo Entertainment System! That's right! We're making an NES game in an NES cartridge that'll be playable on an NES (or compatible) system! Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to get updates on this particular item.
Collectable Action Figure
For toy collectors, we've got some great news! We will soon reveal our first ever series of action figures. This will be a series of five and will include an exclusive "The American" figure that will ONLY be available through this Indiegogo campaign and a few other live events, including upcoming comic-con appearances. But this will be a LIMITED TIME ITEM, so this will be the BEST way to get "The American" and complete the set of five.
