Ski Prep: Those that have not given skis to Bjorn, wax before practice on Monday (glide clean and apply blue wax). We will handoff skis to him Tuesday evening at Giant's Ridge.
Waxable classic kick zones cleaned
Use Glide Cleaner (sparingly) on glide zones, wait 3 minutes and then use nylon brush to brush out
Your name on each ski, marked at the top clearly
State Meet: Our plan is to leave Tuesday after school (3pm). We will pickup Schwen and Marie at RMS as well after loading at BHS.

Please complete this team survey--this is a requirement from the school district and not something we have put together as coaches. MS kids, complete the survey and select "9th grade" and "Blaine HS" as your school.

Fun Costume Meet: Starts at 4pm, skiers out at 1:10.
All non-state skiers are invited to participate in our fun costume meet at Elm Creek on Monday, February 10th. Start planning your costumes now! No official results will be gathered, this is just a fun day to celebrate your hard work this season.
Bus will leave BHS as close to 1:30 as possible, MS pickups to follow
State skiers on Monday will bus after school to practice at Theodore Wirth, leave at 3:15
Gear storage: Captains will have the gear room open on Monday for gear storage at BHS 20 minutes before school starts. Please be prompt if you are bringing in equipment.

Don't skip any components. As a team it is important as individuals we are disciplined and focus on completing all aspects of the workout to the best of our ability.
Non-State Skiers: Costume ski at Elm Creek. Bus departs BHS at 1:30, pickup at MS following. There will be no official results for today.
State Skiers skiing at Theodore Wirth Prep race skis for Bjorn. Bus departs to ski at 3:15. We will bus after school when Schwen arrives.
We will talk about the state course and the plan for when we arrive
We will do coaches corner downhills, practicing aggressive downhill power and transitions into that uphill.

Depart BHS at 3:00pm on Tuesday, February 13th (load at 2:45).
We will stop at Jimmy Johns in Forest Lake on the way up. You will need money to purchase food and we will just bring it on the bus to eat later when you're hungry (don't wait too long if you have mayo, etc). [order ahead]
Arrive at Giant's Ridge for check-in
Bring food / drinks to supplement your lunch that is normal to you on race days.
We will have subway sandwiches for you on Wednesday / Thursday.
You will need money for dinner Thursday evening on the travel meal.

Load bus at 2:45pm, depart BHS at 3pm. (Pickup Schwen / Marie / MS skiers at RMS)
Dinner stop in Forest Lake Jimmy Johns (bring $$). Eat it later on the bus ride as you wish.
Arrive and check-in at The Lodge. Lights out at 10pm.

10 am: Claim a table in the main chalet near the windows. Purchase your sweatshirt if you are getting one.
10:30 am Alternates: Use a sled, bring food to tent and setup on table. Record start and finish times of our skiers on clipboard. Meet bus driver in parking lot to bring subway to our tent.
Subway should arrive around 10:30am (what you ordered)
Pursuit skiers: Get skis to Bjorn by 4pm Wednesday
Dinner in our rooms provided by parent volunteers (thank you parents for doing this!) We will setup food in one of the coaches rooms--room number will be sent via remind once we know.

10 am: Boys: Checkout is 10 am. Packup rooms and have everything to lobby by 10:00 am to load onto bus for storage when driver arrives at 10:30. Send a few people to claim a table in the chalet.
