I am entering my 13th year of teaching, with experience in elementary and high school classrooms. I am originally from Lima, Peru, and moved to Texas about 20 years ago. I have three daughters: my oldest lives in Peru and works in finance, my second graduated from AHHS and attended AHJS (she is now an art major at Texas State), and my youngest is starting high school this year. 

In Peru, I studied Economics and worked in finance before moving to the United States, where I served as a medic in the U.S. Army. After getting a degree from Texas State University, I began my teaching career and have enjoyed helping students grow ever since.

Outside the classroom, I love soccer (fútbol). I lead a team called The Fox Den FC, and we play every Friday—it’s super fun. I also enjoy writing and researching topics that inspire new projects and creative work.
