Keeping your Chromebook updated ensures you have the latest security features and tools for testing. Follow these steps.
2. Select "About Chrome OS" in the lower-left corner.

4. If the Chrome OS is up-to-date, you will will see the the screen to the left. There's nothing more that you need to do!

5. If your Chrome OS is out-of-date, the update will start to download and you will see "Updating your device" like the screen to the left. Please note that depending on the size of the update and your internet speed, this can take up some time to download.

5. Once the Chrome OS update has been downloaded, please select the "Restart" button to complete the update. Your Chromebook will restart and you will have to log in again.
