Yes, your student will still be able to participate in sports and clubs at their home school!
All students should check with the Athletic Department at their home school for information about participating in sports and activities.
Additionally, open-enrolled students must make sure to check with their Athletic Director at the campus where they wish to participate regarding the requirements for athletic participation.

Any student in good academic standing (on track to graduate) in the Agua Fria Union High School District boundaries may attend. Additionally, students in good academic standing who are granted open enrollment from outside our district boundaries may also attend.
Yes, however, if your child receives services that we are unable to provide online, your child will remain at their zoned school.
In traditional courses offered at campus-based schools, the students are learning with live instruction. Online, instruction is self-driven with video and audio recordings accompanied by reading. In both instructional models, there are checks for understanding prior to summative assignments.
Please understand, however, that this instruction is asynchronous, so there will not be a live instructor to deliver lessons and provide feedback at all times. Our Supervising Teachers and Teachers of Record (TORs) are available to assist students, but if students need specific help they will most likely need to initiate contact. To view the current list of Teachers of Record, click HERE
Teachers will regularly check in with students via email and can host virtual office hours for students to log in and speak to teachers directly. Students requesting help will receive it, but may not receive it immediately because their teachers may not be immediately available. Students will receive email, IM, voice, video, or written communication from teachers.
Students would only be able to enroll in one school full time. If a student at a campus has a full schedule, and would like to take an additional course, they may do so through Agua Fria Online through their home campus. Students attending a West-Mec program may also take classes through Agua Fria Online.
Students graduating from Agua Fria Online would have diplomas from their zoned school and will be able to attend the graduation ceremony for their zoned school.
AFUHSD teachers (Teachers of Record or TOR's) will be grading all of the students’ work. They and Supervising Teachers will also be the teachers supporting the students’ learning with tutoring , virtual office hours, video conferences, or emails. These teachers are on all of our brick and mortar campuses and will be teaching during the school day, so they may not be able to communicate immediately with students.
Students can put in a work order with our IT department by clicking on the link: Incident IQ | Login. An IT specialist will get back to the student with the procedures that are needed to get the Chromebook working again. Students can also contact their home campus IT specialist with their issues.
