Surprisingly, a lot! Gmail has a lot of features to help you compose emails and organize your inbox. Many people use Gmail not knowing that these features exist, so I compiled a few of the most useful features here for you to use!
Adding a signature to your emails makes your message look a touch more professional and helps simplify communication. Your teachers and staff are likely more lenient about not adding your signature to emails now, but you'll be expected to do so once you enter the workforce. As such, it would be better to get into the habit of adding email signatures now.
The good news is that, thanks to today's technology, you'll only need to write out your email signature once! Follow the steps below to create an email signature that will populate automatically at the end of every email you make!
Mail labels are an excellent way to visually organize your inbox and archives. Labels can be colored and nested just like the file folders on any computer!
Configuring your filter settings is the ultimate inbox organization tool! You can star, flag, or label emails automatically for easy organization without lifting a finger!
If you don't want to send an email right away but don't want to leave it in your drafts to be forgotten, you can use the scheduling function to delay its delivery! The scheduling function is as easy to use as the queue functions on most social media platforms.
Did you realize you forgot to add something to your email or forgot to check for spelling errors? No worries! Gmail has an Undo Send function.
You may have seen a notification appear in the bottom left corner when you send an email. This notification has an Undo button on it that allows you to unsend your message. Once this notification disappears, it's impossible to unsend your message.
The notification stays on the screen for 5 seconds by default, but you can change your settings to make it stick around for longer!
