Our teachers articulate and maintain high expectations for learning.

WE use standards to guide every learning opportunity. Domain 1a – State Adopted standards are utilized

WE make our performance expectations clear. – Objectives are measurable and connect to “big idea”

WE measure understanding against high expectations- Target higher level components of Bloom’s Taxonomy. Domain 3 a,c – measure utilizing multiple assessments and Checks for understanding

SUPPORTIVE

We provide our students with a Nurturing Learning Environment.

WE engage student interest with every lesson. Domain 1c; Domain 2b – Plan for strategies to engage students

WE interact meaningfully with every student. – Domain 1c; Domain 3c – differentiation for specific learner needs. Domain 5c- Student support

WE use feedback to encourage effort. Domain 3b – Feedback on assessments provides positive reinforcement and suggestions for improvement
