flash fiction competition

Rules

• The competition is open to students who live or attend school in Buckinghamshire.

• There are 2 Age Categories:

  1. 1. Year 8 and under

     2. Year 9+

• It should be based on the following prompt: 

• The Last Photo

"You take a selfie with your friends, but when you look at it, one of them is missing — and they vanish the next day." 

• Your story must be original.

• All work should be submitted on the official entry form

• Your story should be a maximum of 150 words.

• The closing date for entries is February 15th 2026

• The winner will be announced at the BBA awards ceremony on 11th March 2026.

• By entering you agree to your story being published on the BBA website and in Bookcast.
