It’s been a busy week in Sharks class. The boys had the chance to do a DT Food lesson with other Year 7 pupils at Severn Vale School. It was a successful and enjoyable visit and they will be doing this on alternate Tuesdays from now on.
On Thursday, we had an outdoor education day at Cranham Woods. We could not have been luckier with the weather. The boys explored the surroundings, used the trim trail equipment, splashed in the water and toasted marshmallows over the fire. Thank you so much to Ms Ravell for organising this for us – it was a really lovely day.
The boys are getting into the spirit of being Year 7s. We have been impressed with their efforts to manage their own behaviour and act as role models for the younger children. It is also good that they understand that we have higher expectations of them in terms of academic work now that they are secondary school students. Of course, we still try hard to make learning fun and do as many practical activities as we can.
