Before Starting School
Information for New Parents
Please see our admissions policy which can be found here, or asking the school office for a copy. Mrs Christine Gliddon is our admission’s officer; please ask her for further information.
Our admissions number is 30 each year in the main school and 52 in the nursery.
There are various forms which parents are required to complete before children can join the school, including emergency contact; e-safety; school visits; media permissions.
The term before the children are admitted there are regular sessions where the children may play, or listen to a story in the reception classroom. For children
attending the nursery many of these sessions take place with in the term before they start school.
For children who arrive mid-year and/or in other year groups we organise taster sessions.
By enabling the children to have opportunities to visit the school and meet other children and the staff we hope to make their transition to our academy an easy one.
