World Book Day 2018

In our history lessons we are learning all about the Ancient Egyptians.

We visited Barnsley Museums and Cooper Gallery to find out all about the Ancient Egyptians.

The children in Year 3 enjoy role play and the research area.

It is all themed around the Ancient Egyptians.

Our Harvest Wreath

In our geography lesson we found out about how Harvest is celebrated around the world. We looked at a map of the world and found out where our food comes from. On our wreath we wrote some facts about Harvest and what we do in our Harvest Assembly at our school.

We collect food from home and donate it to Cudworth Food Bank.

We made a Stone Age village in our art lesson.

Cave Paintings

As part of our history lessons we are learning about The Stone Age to the Iron Age. In our art lessons we made a wash as our background and then we used our sketch books to draw some pictures from cave painting found in caves during the Stone Age. Then we stuck them under our tables to pretend it was like a cave and then we use charcoal to draw some of the animals from the Stone Age.

It was so much fun!

This was our transition afternoon just before we broke up for the summer holidays.

All smiles from the children as they enjoyed writing about how they can be the best they can be in Year 3.
