Mr Doyle brings a wealth of experience to the role, having joined the school in September 2017 as vice principal and served as head of school from September 2024. His prior experience includes extensive work in school improvement in schools across the Isle of Wight. Will holds a Bachelor of Music with Honours (BMus) from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

“We foster a culture built on our core values; respect, responsibility, aiming high, compassion, and courage, which ensures a positive learning environment for all.
“I believe that by forging strong community partnerships, we empower our kind, thoughtful, and ambitious students. Together, we will guide them on their journey to achieve great things and find their individual successes."
Karl Sampson, Regional Education Director at Lift Schools said:
“I am delighted that Will is now the principal at Lift Ryde. Will has overseen so much already at the school as Head of School and we have every confidence in him building a really great foundation for our students to thrive in.”
The school has continued to flourish and fantastic results at key stage 4 and Sixth Form mean that pupils are extremely well-equipped for future success and go on to secure excellent destinations and future pathways at university, on apprenticeships and in employment.
Will officially started as principal on 1 October 2025.
