  • Visa offer Higher Apprenticeships (Level 4 qualification) in Technology & Business, and in Financial Accounting. Students need a Level 3 qualification in order to be eligible for a Higher Apprenticeship.

  • AWE offer apprenticeships in a variety of Science Technology, Engineering and Maths industries.

  • BDO offer apprenticeships in accounting and tax

  • BPP Professional Apprenticeships recruit Apprentices within the professions: Accountancy; Business & Administration; Financial Services; Law

Achieving for Children has put together a Next Steps Pack for young people in need of extra support making their next steps in education or the workplace

Disability Rights UK has information and advice for people who have a disability including information on education, skills and employment.

Diversity Careers run an annual careers event showcasing employers who are seeking to employ, support and connect with students with disabilities.

EmployAbility has information, advice and support for students with a disability or dyslexia.

Superpeople aim to create social change for disabled people and create curated video CVs to support disabled people in finding employment.

School Leaver Programmes

School Leaver Programmes can be an alternative to pursuing a traditional university route. Some offer apprenticeships, others offer “sponsored degrees” where you work, get paid and your employer pays for your degree, some offer to pay for training towards professional accreditation. Some school leaver programmes also offer training and employment to students leaving school at age 16. Deadline and dates vary according to the company, so check individual sites regularly.
