Year 6 Transition
Richmond Park Academy is welcoming and inclusive. We are extremely proud of our transition programme and work hard each year to ensure that parents and students alike feel happy and confident as part of our school community from the moment that they receive their offer from us. The details of the transition events for this year are shown below. If you have any queries regarding the admissions process please contact our Admissions Officer, Terry Nardoni in the first instance, who will be able to help you.
The most important thing when your first receive your offer it to accept it or reject it with the Admissions Portal. Offers are made centrally so it is important that you register acceptances or rejections there. If you are on our waiting list having not been given your first choice, please do not worry at this stage; lists move dramatically in the first few weeks.
If you would like to come on one of our Senior Leadership Team's Talk & Tours which take place every Thursday contact us to book your place.
Transition Summer School
Our Transition Summer School is now open for booking. It take place in the first two weeks of the summer holiday: weeks commencing the 22 and 29 July. The summer school features some maths and English plus creative and sport and is a fantastic way for our new Year 7s to get to know the school ad each other. The "school day" is between 10 am and 2.30 pm. However, we do offer wrap around care and entertainment from our 6th from supervisors from 9 in the morning and until 3.30 pm in the afternoon. The Friday of each week will be a school trip to either Chessington World of Adventures of Jurassic Golf plus a picnic! There is a small fee of £50 per week which our Finance Department will invoice for. We want all of our Year 7s to hit the ground running both academically and socially so we look forward to seeing as many of our new cohort there as possible.
