Throughout the school we use an online learning journal called Tapestry where we can save photos and videos of individual pupils which are then collated to make a journal of their time at Pioneer school. It has very high security and is password and pin number protected. The additional advantage of Tapestry is that parents can have their own login details, so they can access their own child's journal. They can view all the photos and videos that are being saved. Parents can add their own photos and videos of progress at home or other experiences their child are enjoying while not at school. This can help staff to see pupils in other settings and what they can achieve in other environments. Tapestry also offers the ability for parents and staff to comment on and also like any posts that are added to the pupils’ journals. It's a valuable resource to monitor progress and achievements of our pupils and it creates additional links with parents.
