For an Academy Trust, the Board is in law the proprietor and governing body of all of the academies that are within the Trust. All committees, including Local Governing Bodies only operate under a Scheme of Delegation with ultimate accountability resting with the Board. At Offa's Mead Academy, a Governing Body has been set up.
The members of our Governing Body have a wide range of expertise and experience and meet regularly. They attend training sessions to keep up to date with changes in education and work in close partnership with the Headteacher to determine the aims, agree policies, targets, and priorities for the development of the Academy in order to continuously improve the standards of education and promote a safe and caring environment for the benefit of our pupils. They also go into the Academy to meet with other members of staff and pupils to find out how the Academy is progressing towards its targets.
If you wish to find out more, for example how to become a Governor, or to contact the Governors, please write to the clerk c/o Offa’s Mead Academy, Beachley Rd, Sedbury, NP167DT or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We will provide you with paper copies of any of the documents on this site, free of charge, on request.
