This subject gives the student the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills to manage their lives now and in the future. It addresses the changes that young people will experience as they transition into adolescence, and increase their independence. Pupil needs are met by allowing the students to feel successful every lesson, as they have the chance to contribute, and direct the learning through appropriate group discussions. This also supports the students in having the ability to build relationships, explore new topics, and build resilience within a respectful learning environment.
