Humanities

Humanities gives the students an opportunity to explore Geography, Religious Studies and History. This subject provides students with important knowledge that enables them to understand the world we live in. The lessons are tailored to ensure students are able to successfully engage and discuss topics, but also enables success by making cross-curricular links with Science, PE, and Art. The subjects also develop the students’ social, cultural, political and historical knowledge, which are beneficial for functioning in society.

All topics covered are important for the students in understanding culture and ethics, and enable them to engage with contemporary issues. We have the opportunity to have discussions, look at news articles, watch videos and look at photography to make lessons engaging and relevant. Students are made to feel successful with easily accessible lessons that allow them to connect and have opinions on topics before they explore the theory.
