This page contains information about the Newlands Offer
As a specialist provision for young boys aged 11-16 with social emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties we see the potential of embracing the great diversity of professionals who have carved out bespoke services that meet the needs of children and young people with SEND. Within Newlands there is a rich tapestry of provision delivered by transformative practitioners and services. We provide tailored therapeutic, psychological care packages whilst creating opportunities for social, leisure, cultural and sporting success to encourage our young men to thrive and flourish.
All pupils at Newlands Academy have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) with recommendations for appropriate targeted provision. Students are recommended to us by the local authority based on the suitability of our provision to meet an individual student’s needs. Newlands Academy currently have 60 students on roll, all of these students have individualised tailored support packages. We have numerous outside agencies involved in our work such as the Metropolitan police, Social services, Family support workers, CAMHS, Educational Psychology service, Speech and language therapists, Psychotherapists and Youth Offending Team Services. We believe that collaboration and communication between services are key to achieving positive outcomes for our young men.
